I love and am passionate about the gospel of Jesus Christ and His church. I get jazzed about good clean design and gospel saturation. Combining the two, causes an explosion in the soul. Church Plant Media is the perfect combination of gospel-centered work and web geekery. God could not have found a better place to allow me to serve the local church.
Basic Stuff: I am the youngest of the Church Plant Media team but make up for my youth with zeal. I am a self-taught designer who majored in Comprehensive Business Management, concentrating on Business Technology and Marketing. I have felt called to work in ministry and to further the gospel since receiving Christ as my Lord and Savior. I got saved at 19 and have been making up for lost time ever since. I was the media pastor for 2 years at Paramount Church, a Church Plant Media partner in Jacksonville, Florida. I have lived most of my life in beautiful Greenville, South Carolina, but in October 2011, I moved cross-country to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, in order to invest my life in the vision of Church Plant Media. It is my desire to use my whole person to magnify Jesus and further His kingdom.
Education: Bachelor of Science in Comprehensive Business Management from Bob Jones University
Primary Work Responsibilities: strategy, advocate for ministry relationships, and some design work
Interests and Favorites:
- Places: coffee shops, bookstores, any lake, ski slope, the beach, and of course my Momma's house
- Music: Hillsong, Designers.mx, Dave Barnes, Matt Wertz, Jason Mraz, Nathan Angelo, Shane and Shane, gospel-centered music, David Crowder Band, Tomlin, Matt Kearney.
- Books: the Bible, anything C.S. Lewis, A Gospel Primer by Milton Vincent, The Gospel for Real Life by Jerry Bridges, and business books
- Sports: soccer, basketball, golf, outdoor sports, water sports, and Duke Basketball
- Movies: The Patriot, Top Gun, Dark Knight, Elf, Pixar
- Hobbies: Spending time with family and friends, triathlons, golf, watching Netflix and Hulu, lake weekends, camping, and cycling
- Bit of Randomness: I bought and sold 12 cars in 12 months, just for fun. I love me some Craigslist.
